Travel Medicine Services
Planning an exotic vacation requires planning, including a visit with a physician familiar with travel medicine and destination related illnesses. Hunterdon Internal Medicine Associates offers a full range of travel medicine related services and specializes in medical preparation for a healthy and safe journey. Our staff has experience and expertise to answer most travel medicine related questions.
It is recommended all travelers make an appointment at least one month in advance of scheduled departure to allow for optimum vaccine effectiveness and adequate pre-travel health planning.
Our Travel Medicine Services:
- Individualized counseling for each traveler based on personal medical history, destination, and itinerary. A customized travel report is included with each travel visit burned onto a data-CD covering all topics discussed in your travel visit as well as additional information.
- Review of current immunization status. We stock both routine update and destination-specific immunizations including Yellow Fever and will provide vaccinations, as needed
Malaria prevention medication and strategies to reduce exposure to disease carrying insects
International Certificates of Vaccination
- Provide medications, as indicated for the prevention or treatment of travelers' diarrhea, altitude illness, and jet lag
Gregory E. Broslawski, DO, has earned the Certificate of Knowledge in Travel Medicine from the International Society of Travel Medicine and is Board-Certified in Internal Medicine. He is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Internists and is on active staff in the Department of Internal Medicine at Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, New Jersey.
Dr. Broslawski interacts daily with physicians around the world through a dedicated Internet travel medicine discussion group. He is a member of the International Society of Travel Medicine (ISTM) and the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
